benbrooke has been moderating for NexusFi (formerly BMT) for a few months and has done an excellent job in helping fellow traders and the site.

Ben recently let me know that he would be accepting a position at tradersforce.com, and he wanted to be open and forthcoming about it just to be certain there would be no conflict of interest.

I discussed it with Ben and the other mods, and we reached the firm conclusion that there is no conflict of interest so long as Ben does not self-promote tradersforce.com.

Following Ben's lead of being upfront, I wanted to create this post so it was clear that neither Ben nor NexusFi (formerly BMT) is trying to hide the fact that Ben is working for tradersforce.com.

Because Ben is a moderator, and his posts "speak" for NexusFi (formerly BMT) in that regard, I did not feel it was appropriate to tag his user account with the normal "Vendor: tradersforce.com" string, as it would unnecessarily draw attention to that company.

I'm sure some of you may disagree with our decision. I'm also sure most of you are fine with it. Either way, it is not up for public discussion and this thread will be closed after I make the post.

If you have a problem with any of ben's posts going forward, or any posts from any user for that matter, do not get involved yourself but instead use the Report Post feature available to the right of every post on the forum.

It was later brought to my attention that Ben was almost certainly Mordi from tradersforce. Ben resigned from being a moderator so I never pursued it.

His account is now labeled as a vendor and he will have to abide by the same rules as all vendors here on the forum. Regardless of "the truth" or the reasons behind the whole Ben vs Mordi discussion, benbrooke's postings on NexusFi (formerly BMT) have been primarily very helpful, and that means something. Either way, the topic is closed for me. He is no longer a moderator, his account is labeled as a vendor, and going forward his own actions will speak for themselves.
