I played over the weekend mainly with PCR and TRIN. PCR up/down TRIN up/down and on extremes, price can still go up or down without correlation. No strong prediction IMO.
I don't know if it is a program but PCR has a clear exponential profile during the day, first/second order exponential. I wonder why that is...
Is there a particular group of the Dow Jones ( Industrials/Utilities/Transportation ) that you are looking at? that drives price?
I'm fighting with TICK a bit. I wonder if anyone else is as well.
@EV Trader uses a cumulative tick from the Russel, here is a snapshot of today and this week (tick is black line, panel 2):
It looked useful to me to try the Russel tick, so I went to Barchart NTCK-TF:
Just look at panel 1, ignore that other crap it's all my overlay stuff. You can see the timeframe is roughly the same as the first chart above, but the result is incredibly different.
Can someone post the same time frame Russel TICK, and let's compare? Please mention your data source.
I have never used TradeStation so don't know. The chart you posted before would be fine if you have a study to sum the values on each new bar, making it cumulative.
