Hello,

anybody here using OEC datafeed with SierraChart? I am searching for datafeed that supports futures spreads trading with reduced margins with SierraChart and came across with OEC feed that should work.

Noticed Cannontrading and Danielstrading and some others support OEC but they don't list SC among their platforms ...

Thanks

Hi there,

here is OEC spread contract list.

https://www.openecry.com/ibportal/pages/contract.cfm?CurrentAssetType=FutureStrategies&ViewBy=MarketGroup

I'm going to see if they will allow intermarket spreads. It doesn't look like they do right now.

it is not the data feed per se that provides the lower margins, rather the FCM and/or the IB. Congratulations on choosing Sierra and OEC. Both are in my opinion are quality companies, and OEC is free as well on it's own.
We have connectivity to both in case you need help setting it up.
Thanks,
Matt

I can't get to that directly - can anyone else?

I tried logging onto my OEC account first but no dice.

Futures Trading Hours

Here's OEC's other page.

Check under futures strategies. I checked with them, they definitely don't offer inter-market ETSs only calendar.

Thanks - got it now.

Still a good start though.

I wonder if they plan to add crack spreads & NOB spreads - that would be pretty interesting.

There is a lot of complains about OEC feed quality like here NQ - OEC at it again - Support Board - Sierra Chart. Is there an alternative? Can spreads be traded with you using Rithmic?

Thanks

Exchange traded spreads could be traded via Rithmic on Sierra and we could provide historicals on them as well.

Thanks Matt. What FCM uses Rithmic? I see there are AMP, Gain, ADMIS and Wedbush listed on your website all with different minimum initial deposit.

That is correct, all three offer Rithmic.
However, depending on your account size, margins, contracts traded, etc. we will make the best determination and recommend the appropriate FCM. Since Rithmic connects to a number of platforms, and markets, we need to make sure all your needs are met.

Thanks!
Matt

PS. Since this is thread about OEC, I recommend you use the Optimus Futures thread for more questions.
