It would be pretty easy. Just substract close or settlement price from current price, if you want to know the move in points. Or divide current price by settlement or close, substract 1 and multiply by 100 to get the percentage move.

In the first place you should tell us

- what you want to use it for
- and how you want to display the results

I guess you do not want to show a line, which is moving parallel to price below the price panel?

OK, I'll explain a little better. I trade the S&P and Euro, but I want to use the dow as my leading indicator. How can I watch my S&P and Euro and have an indicator that lets me know if the dow is up or down by so much from the previous day?

Where do you want to display it? Do you want a line in your chart? Do you want a box that goes green and reads +0.20%? Do you want a ratio to know whether it has moved more that the S&P? Do you want to display a spread? If you just tell us

"I want an indicator that lets me know ..."

nobody can answer your question. You need to tell us what you are looking for precisely.

Actually, the Dow is not normally the leader.
The Dow is 30 stocks while the S&P is 500 (including the 30 Dow).

But, why not open a daily chart of the Dow and visually look at it???
Green candles = up day
Red candles = down day.

If you show us a screenshot of that indicator, we might be able to reproduce it.
