i look forward to this forum, but I can't interact unless i have a post count of 10, and I can't send PM unless i hasve a post count of 5. so i guess i just start creating 10 random threads until I exceed the threshold?

No. If you read the warning messages, it tells you specifically and explicitly not to do that, or you'll be permanently banned.
