His limit orders seem to not have any impact on the order book....

Certainly on the screen shots in the above post - it's all SIM.

He later switched to using Market Orders - which makes this sort of thing harder to spot.

thanks, just looked at that, and also the fact that he traded 500+lots in only few years of trading just couldn't quite convince me. but he might doing good for himself. who knows unless somebody really knows him.
