There were no announcements scheduled for 7:30am that I am aware of. All of a sudden the book thinned out and it was off to the races as if it were an important news event. I was just about to enter when I glanced at the DOM and saw the limits thinning out.
Any idea? If it WAS due to a news event where can I find a heads up? Forex factory calender didn't show anything. Econoday didn't show anything.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Is there any notice of when they decide to release comments? I knew she was set to testify before congress today but I thought that didn't start until 10am.
Neither did any of my calendar feeds - they all just had Yellen testifying at 10am ET.
PS: I am on the free mailing list from the FED. Get emails from them nearly every day about mostly meaningless announcements - yet I never got an email at 8.30 ET when her testimony was released ... go figure
It may have been Yellen. I've just remembered TFX mentioning that some Fed statement was due to be released and I think they may have said at 7.30 EST. Odd it's not in the calendar though, the calendar shows

the actual speech was at 9:00AM CST to the House. but as it's pre-written her comments/talking points were released at 7:30AM CST. I honestly dont know why they do this or if its always 7:30 or what. It wasnt on my calendar either but i read about it in my news feeds i scan through in the morning.
