A list of Price Action Indicators I use in my trade plans;
Unfinished Auctions (: [Gom UA (] A visual representation of Resting Bids or Resting Offers where Supply was overwhelmed by Demand or Demand was overwhelmed by Supply
Price Pivots (: Similar to swing highs and swing lows, but with specific bar close criteria. To establish a Price Pivot High, a recent swing high must be followed by a bar that closes below a prior bar's Low. To establish a Price Pivot Low, a recent swing low must be followed by a bar that closes above a prior bar's High.
Single Prints (: A concept adopted from Market Profile where a price point in the current 30 minute bracket exceeds the range of the prior 30 mnute bracket. When the market is moving higher Single Prints are formed by the Buyer's. When the market is moving lower the Single Prints are formed by the Seller's. When Price returns to one of these Single Prints we expect [anticipate] an initial rejection of price movement as the traders attempt to overcome the [selling or buying] momentum that created the Single Print being "tested".
irSessionSupportandResistance (: A concept introduced by another trader on the Ninja Trader Support Forum that was looking for help developing an indicator to highlight "the Open of the highest reaching Up Close bar [in a session] and the open of the lowest reaching downclose bar [in a session].
A list of "Notable Levels" indicators I use in my trade plans:
irBull/Bear Zone: I came up with the idea for this indicator after witnessing countless moves from an extreme back 50% [or to the "mid-point". I've always been a big believer in the "IB Range" as well so this one came from that concept. The way it works is simple. It tracks the RTH Close as it's starting point and then follows the price to it's extreme [either higher or lower from the RTH close] until the next RTH Open. As long as price is moving away from that prior RTH Close in the overnight session the indicator aligns it's centre line with the 50% retracement of the extreme back to the prior RTH Close. Once the next RTH session opens it frames the 50% retracement as the Bull/Bear Zone. I use a "Bull/Bear Zone" setting of 4 ticks for the ZB, [two ticks on either side of the 50% mid-point], I use 8 ticks for the ES & the NQ and I use 10 ticks for the YM and CL.
