sorry I just randomly googled and got it. I really just wanted to discuss my Italian friends comments about Italy printing Lira again and its significance?
They're pulling your leg - Italy's not printing Lira again. The ECB would be up in arms about it and everyone would talk about it - besides, there hasn't been anything fundamental as of late that would prompt Italy to take such a drastic action.
If any country would have found itself in such a situation, it would have been Greece, and it would have been in summer last year.
Hi, I am from Italy and i can assure you that this is pure fantasy. Somebody wanted to return to the Lira but it is not possible anymore, so do not worry....ciao
