I apologize if this is discussed elsewhere. I did a search and was unable to find it here.

When I go to export a NinjaTrader strategy, a dialog comes up with this text:
"please be aware that the exported NinjaScript Archive File can only be imported if the target PC has the following assembly(s) loaded:"

The list that follows is every commercial and many 3rd party indicators and strategies that I have installed on my platform. The strategy that I'm trying to export has nothing to do with any of that stuff.

I tried wiping the copy in the AdditionalReferences.txt file, but I experienced import errors trying to import the rezipped file. I also edited the AdditionalReferences.txt file without unzipping the original export zip and got the same errors.

How do I export a strategy that doesn't reference and require every stray scrap of code on my platform?

Thanks in advance.

I think the reason is that you have those indicators referenced in some way or another...

You should :
- meticulously go through the strategy file and see what is referenced
- also look at any other referenced file which in turn may reference an indicator

As a proof, you can create a minimum strategy and see that this one will not
include all the indicators as mentioned.

Maybe you can post the screenshot of what you get ?

If you create a strategy with CCI & EMA
the result would be a zip file with the strategy, the CCI and the EMA
and dependencies if any

Hi rleplae,

Thanks so much for your reply. You've been really helpful and patient with answering my stupid newbie questions.

I didn't want to post the screenshot in public, so I was going to PM it to you--I didn't want to expose all of the third-party stuff that I have. But first I decided to create a fresh version of the same strategy from scratch and repeat the steps to export.

It would appear that the strategy with which I was having issues was corrupted. I had re-imported a few indicators and I was switching around what I was referencing. And I was doing all of this in the Strategy Wizard, not by hand. Somehow the strategy got attached to every single third party strategy and indicator that I have in my directories, some of which I'd completely forgotten that I had. Perhaps this is something that happens when using the Wizard when it throws off some errors.

Thanks again for your kind offer to help.

Best,
a
