Greetings everyone!

I am BRAND new to trading options. I'm looking to start paper trading options on Monday and had a few questions about how to get started. Here's a list of what I'm looking for.
  • How to practice analysis to choose a stock, option types, position
  • One VERY basic book on fundamental and technical analysis
  • The best paper broker to use as a beginner

If there are any other preparation techniques I should put into practice, let me know!! I'm approaching this with as much humility as possible so I am all ears.

Thanks a ton everybody!

You should check out you tube ,plenty of how to videos there on everything regarding trading.

I would have to say TDA /TOS is the best for paper trading. That's what I started with years ago.

Good luck .

You can start a small account on TDA. I believe their policy is that you can only have real time sim TOS
if you have a live account. They usually give you one sim account along with your live account.
For a free intro to option spread trading the "Liz and Jenny" show is a good start and they also use
the TOS platform as well as teaching how to use it's options features.

Mind that one still needs to learn to do well directionally on stocks. Liz and Jenny claim they do about 10 to 30% a year on their options portfolios. Good luck.
