I am new to this amazing forum its gold mine!

I have question for all PnF trades who use Ninjatrader especially SodyTexas

I am trying and automated trading strategy on PnF with 1 box and 1 reversal theoreticallya bar is suppose to be entered or exited just one X or 0 above or below at the open of the bar but it is randomly sometimes entering 6 or sometimes more or less X'S or O's from top or bottom.(I am attaching an example)

My question is it possible to enter almost after first X or O when the bar opens ?
If its not possible on Ninjatrader is it possible on other platforms?

Not sure what I can offer here but have you ever watched closely, I mean completely stare, at how PnF bars form for a few hours at a time. I have....lol.... here is a video I just made for you regarding it

I edited out about 6 minutes of waiting to find what I was looking for, for you.... total length 1:06. This is low quality but gets the point across I feel. It's better than paint drying (because we love this stuff) but not much....lol

In a nut shell a new bar forms only after price moves the required amount (depending on setting) so in the mean time there is no bar there.

Automated trading works best on daily bars and minute bars should be used for intraday.....IMO

1x1 reversal in nt7 is inaccurate. If you use it the counts will be wrong. I use updata for pnf.
