For my manual trading, I look at something like a 15min or 1hour timeframe chart and mentally classify it as one of 4 things with a quick glance:

- very bullish
- bullish
- bearish
- very bearish

If the larger trend is "very bullish" then I try not to take short opportunities on a faster timeframe (like 1min or 3min) that present themselves, no matter how tempting.

I want to replicate that concept in ninjascript, but not sure of the most optimal way to go about it.

Any suggestions?

Or maybe I just need to use an existing indicator (maybe something like AROON?) for this on the larger timeframe....
