Steve - If you refresh the chart those bars should be colored as expected...right? I think it is because the VStop logic has to wait for the aTRperiod bars to calculate the stops - otherwise it's logic gets screwed...

I have set my CalculateonBar option to True as I don't enter a trade till the bar closes anyways...but I can imagine folks wanting that option to be set as False.. I don't know how to make it more robust as it should be.... I wonder if any big guns of the NT programming can help us mere mortals here...

- Kash

Hi Kash, I will keep an eye on it and see if it produces more examples.

Kash,
I'm trying to figure out what indicators you are using in panel 1 of your chart (originally saw it on the OBV thread).
I downloaded the volatility trend bars. I looked for the EMA_Colors_Double and HMAColorEMADouble indicators but could not find them here or on the NT forum. Where can I get them?
Thanks

Steve,

I don't know if you figured this out already but here is what I think you were talking about...I also included a Volatility Sensitivity parameter to further control the stops...and also ability to paint the pullbacks as hollow bars...Hope this helps..

Is it possible to do a variable ATR rather than fixed? I have a friend who uses this strategy for trade management for Tradestation, and his volstop keep him in the trade more effectively than mine. I have the TS code posted here .

I have nil NT scripting experience, so no porting over to NT code from EL.
