I have actually noticed this too. Glad it's not just me.
Not sure what I should do now...lol.
The latest version of my PriceSquawk (a competitor to tickstrike), I use the standalone for IQFeed, now has the ability to enter all the news events for the coming week say on the weekend and create a custom alert sound for them but that's it. It would just be a reminder to look and a news feed.
I recently looks at Bloomberg Terminal for market news but it's not economically feasible for me to allocate $2000/mo for news. I have no other reason for that platform. Great tool though. Better for stock traders I feel.
I'm happy with Investing.com's economic calendar. So I might just enter the times for news events I deem important into PriceSquawk for the week a minute early from the actual event and then look at their site for that news item.

Ron and @Stillgreen, have you considered Talking Forex? I don't experience any time delay with them and for 20 GBP/month (about 25 USD) I think they are good value for money.
@Blash and @xplorer, I just got a reply from financialjuice to my query about the delay. They confirm that the news squawk is delayed, " but as we further develop the technology it will be real time."
They say the Tickstrike for ES is real time which is good to know.
Also, @Blash , since you have Pricesquawk, could you compare it's audio signals for ES to the free version of Tickstrike on the site, and see if they are similar ?

So sorry I missed this post!
Price Squawk IMHO is complete genius. Extremely customizable limited only by ones imagination. It's not a separate data feed like I believe TickStrike is. I have both the Ninja version and the standalone for IQFEED.
I once listened to TickStrike for a brief moment and was unimpressed after knowing what PriceSquawk can do. With PriceSquawk you can choose from a vast selection of sounds (or create your own) and many well thought out ways to configure them related to volume etc. All relatively easy to set up. The "auto" feature is super.
Let me know if you are still interested and I can supply more info.
I still use it, but it looks like over the weekend they changed something with the Audio feed live squawk. It says "Live Coming Soon" no idea what that means.
Financial Juice is a great source for headlines/news ... I use it every day. Better than having CNBC going or some other garbage television station to get news.
In my opinion the best way to get news is from a Squawk service and headlines. They only talk when there is relevant news... no BS / sales / commercials distracting you during the trading day.
