Hi all,

Thought id throw out a quick intro and first post

Live in Australia, Mornington Peninsula. Just starting out with online futures trading, second night live after a few weeks of sim trading. Decided to switch my more active trading after 13 years from Aussie shares to US index Futures as im of the belief that at best world economies will get choppy and worse.....well i think we all know. Which leaves far less trading opportunity unless using CFDs which im not a fan of. ASX stocks can prone to gaps and liquidity drying up on the smaller end of town if the US tanks overnight, at least this way i have the opportunity to ride it.

Its something ive wanted to do for sometime but the hours are rather difficult - with the active session right through our night. Although i will say being able to slowly position myself during the day (US night) might be beneficial. Hopefully i adjust to the sleep thing - time will tell.

Bit of messing around getting started with my Australian trading structure, the team at Ninja were a huge help and very patient. Big thumbs up for them.

Happy trading!

I'm new on here as well. Forex trader and strategy developer.

Are you using NT 7 or 8 ? I am used to JForex, or Metatrader/Mql so having issues with NT7 and rejected orders. Hope issues are fixed in NT8.

Best of luck and strategy in your new trading endeavors.

Hi Mary,

Im trading on NT8 and have no issue with it, great platform actually. I downloaded NT7 as i have bloodhound which for now only works on NT7. I havent done much with the later 2, i hope to learn BH and then implement it on a few different contracts (smaller trades) once its NT8 compatible. All my main trading id say will remain discretionary trading for quite sometime.

Id recommend giving NT8 a try, they just moved to RC1 so out of beta. Let me know how you get on and good luck!
