Here are the comments I received from one of my client about something called “silent disconnection”. I'm not using TS myself, I only have a demo account so I can't do relevant tests.
Does anyone here is aware of this kind of issues? If I could get in which file is logged these silent disconnection I could at least wrote a small app which will warn the trader.

I've experienced this before,but there is a "Trading " word in the lower right hand corner that turns from green to red. So there is notification. I usually resolve the issue by restarting the computer,not just tradestation.
Unfortunately this "Trading" which can be blue,green or red shows the connection to the account server, not the trading server where it seems there is no way get the status of the trading server through the TS GUI.
