I said I would post the ZB trade so here it is!
Why did I take the short?
Well, price looked like it was losing strength to the upside
and gold was absolutely getting killed!
USD was also showing some strength which helped.
Thanks to news out of Europe, my trade ended up being accelerated
As you can see, I am sitting in the green a fair amount which is nice. I think that the thing that can learned from this trade is how important last-ditch adding is. I want to dedicate a whole post to this subject because I am a strong believer in it
I was two ticks from being stopped out on my original
contract , so I added a couple. This is how they played out!
+$812.50! I don't know about you, but I would take that trade any day!
This is also a milestone for me! I am now officially net positive with the ZB!
Remind me to make the "last-ditch add" post tomorrow! I will do it!
Also, I am going to make a video for the market correlations. I just haven't had the time to put it all together for you all. I will though, I promise!
@rocksolid68
First off, nice trade! Question: Do you ever let the trade run vs using targets? I have been testing a automated strategy and I keep finding the runners almost always turn a losing strategy based on targets into a winning strategy when you let at least one position run. For you I would think it would take your already positive gains and exponentially grow them.

Most definitely! I normally do!
If you look at my swing on Gold last week, I had no targets for the one contract . I use targets on my adds for income, but on my core contract I let run wild!
Now, you may wonder why I have a target on my screen. That is because I would HATE to wake up and see price bounce from a support I was watching at stop me out!
It is a mental thing more than practical. I would never let it hit my target while I am watching it.
This is something I would like to work on, so thank you for pointing it out!

Testing long on ES right now.
ADP Non-farm came in bad so that is bullish for ES
Not only that, but we failed below the bottom of the range , so it is time to go to the top of it
(I also added one to my ZB short)

I flattened that a few days ago! It hit my stop loss to the tick and then proceeded to dump!!!
I missed out on $4000+ by one tick! How crazy is that???
Look back a few days in this thread and you will see my post on it. I ended up getting stopped right above Monthly PP (~1331)
I am currently in a bond short though which is what I have been talking about for a while now. (ZB)
Downside targets on GC were 1275, 1260, and 1244. There were other targets, but they have been hit already.
So, all in all, I was in gold short, and I wish I still was

Oh okay, I thought you took another one. Nice trade though. Yeah, really sucks when you miss by one tick, that would've been a real nice payday.

I want to be like you when I grow up !!! Good Job !! I've noticed you had a great couple of weeks. Correct me if i'm wrong, but you did start using a new strategy or is it same strategy different assets?
