Hi,

I'm just wondering why the TOPIX futures (full size) volume on the JPX is so little compared to the Nikkei 225 Mini. It seems to be pretty good for scalping for 2 ticks or so, and the commissions are cheap. It does about 10+ points a day in range, which is great. Why aren't many institutions trading this instrument? I guess you can argue that the Nikkei Mini does about 10 times the volume on average, and that the TOPIX contract is about 8 times bigger in value than the Nikkei Mini.

What do you guys think?

Why do some derivatives products fail when other similar ones are huge successes?

Bump.

Anyone trading the TOPIX (full size and/or mini)? They seem to be instruments that deserve more volume than they have.

For me it could be good product to trade ... if there will be good data for it.With IB data it is worth nothing and most people concentrate on NK225 so ... no one care about it.Finding good data for TPX is not easy - you cant take it ,,just'' from broker becouse no other then IB offers it.I trade now only TSE stock's and even that is not easy with IB data - I pay for real time data and i got it with pricing ... while chart's are still delayed .
