I want to trade crude oil futures on Ninja Trader with multiple accounts. I have an investment account and a self-directed IRA, and I would like to have the capability to chart trade with both account simultaneously. For example, I would like to enter a scalp with 5 CL contracts, and my entries and duplicated across both accounts, so 5 CL entered for the IRA and 5 CL entered for the investment account, with one mouse click.

There is limited replication functionality in NinjaTrader 7. NinjaTrader 8 does not support this.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Can the functionality be added to NT8 with add on programming? Why is this not deemed a desirable feature for NT 8?

Yes, this can be programmed as an add on in NinjaTrader 8. It was removed for serious lack of use.

I messed around with this in NT7. You still have to manage the trades separately it only gets you in at the same time.

I set up a group account but never did anything with it. This was about 3 years ago easy so I can't remember all the details. But this group account did cause some odd behavior for me.

When I say I set up a group account I mean I typed a name into the Account group: box. I placed no accounts under it. It wasn't until a very long time later after much odd behavior and a few emails to Ninja support that we finally figured out to just remove this group account name from that box and the odd behavior vanished.

Two clicks in NT8 with Super DOMs side by side or even with the Chart Traders side by side and your all set if with limit orders a few prices from the market.
