Can anyone tell me if it is possible to emulate a limit order locally in multicharts?
I prefer that the broker can't see my take profit orders.

Thanks,
Kevin

fxpipmeister,

MC 10 only offers emulation of stop and stop limit orders.
https://www.multicharts.com/trading-software/index.php/Auto_Trading#Emulate_Stop_orders_locally

Depending on what you mean by emulating you could try two things:
- rewrite your code to use stop limit orders for your targets and have MC emulate them
- monitor target levels with your code and send a limit order (a market order) when the target level is met

Thanks ABCTG for the quick reply.

I cant figure out why multicharts would emulate a stop order, and a stoplimit order, but not a limit order,

It just doesn't make sense to me!

fxpipmeister,

you are welcome. I don't know why they chose to do that, but you could ask in the official forum and/or leave a feature request for that.

ABCTG
