I did not well, I blew up another account recently. I'm revising my system completely and putting my psychology in order. I will give it another shot probably in 4 weeks. I'll keep you posted :-)
There is not one great trader who has not blown up an account, myself included. I am sure it is in any number, of the really good trading books, that describe this. Mark Douglas, talked about the fact that almost every great trader has failed. It is the ones that keep trying that make it. Like me.
Finally, I believe the following to be true - Using Sim, the way I was (a ton of contracts) demands higher PC resources. The reason is, in simulation, NT has to simulate each order on every price change to determine if an order is filled. In live, NT just waits for the fill confirmations from the broker server. Way less resources.
Does that make sense? Just watch the Resources Manager in Live vs. SIM. I have. SIM takes more to run.
When I say that for the way I trade - Ninja Trader is the greatest trading platform I have used, it is the Truth! Let me add I have used J-Trader, IQ_Trader that uses PATS, as well as TradeStation,
Now, I have not used X-Trader nor Multi-Charts. If I ever find a reason to try something else, I will try Multi-Charts next. But don't hold your breath.

You do not know what you are talking about. Sorry, that is a fact.
What are your credentials? I have stated mine in the Price, Volume & The DOMThread. Not here in the open. Join Elite, if anyone wants to know more about me.

I am a professional beta tester, from Laboratory Robotics to Magnetic Resonance Spectrometers, to any number of other application, hardware and software.. I have signed up where I could. So, I am not the coder or the network engineer or the UNIX/Linux/Win7 guy.
I am their boss: The Ph.D. Level Scientist that supervises them. I have worked with the best and brightest, at Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley), Abbott Laboratories, and lastly The University of California, San Francisco.
So, I am the not the guy that does it, I am the guy that gets it done.
Thank goodness for the ignore feature. Metal Trade I have put you on my ignore list.
Until you commit to learning to trade I do not want to hear it. I hope this is not considered too rude, but non-successful traders need to understand the problem lies within themselves, go read @Big Mike 's posts about this.
My Goal is to trade 100 cars live real $$$ (using the API) using Ninja Trader 7. May take a while - could be educational - but it is now a goal that is worthy of accomplishing.
