@AgentSmith

I think it is a good idea to read the Market Wizard series first.
(Market Wizards is a book written by Jack D. Schwager and published in 1989 in which he interviews a wide range of traders with excellent track records of profitability.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Market_Wizards)

This gives you an idea of the wide variety of approaches to trading.
You may find a style that has an affinity to your personality.
And in it you may find leads for other books.
(That is where I read that a wizard read :"Zen and the art of Archery")

In books you read you might find a little "key" a message that most others miss - that has meaning to you and you say "ah there's is a clue" - you only need one little gem. Then you polish it and make it your own. It might only be one sentence - but that one sentence might be worth 10 books.

For ES itself there is Sniper Trading by George Angel (not a recommendation or not just that it is on ES) - quite old now.

I like WD Gann's books (- but I'm far out there. LOL)

Good luck in your journey

..........
peace, love and joy to you

The following books are exclusively / heavy on day-trading ES / index futures:

1. Al Brooks: Trading Price Action (3 Volumes) (Exclusively on ES)

2. William Scheier: Pivots, Patterns and Intraday Swing Trades (100% index futures, emphasis on RTY and NQ though, but also lots of ES)

3. David Halsey: Trading the Measured Move (Almost 100% on ES)

4. John Carter: Mastering the Trade (50% index futures, roughly half / half ES and YM)

The list is ordered according to which ones I like the most.
