Hey guys my name is Ben and i am a beginner trader. I am brand new this forum and hoping to get some help. I've recently gotten an account with TradeStation and i need figurring out how to insert the $TICK and $ADD charts into my ES chart. I've tried and kept getting a message saying " i may not mix symbols with different delays in the same the window". I don't get it. Secondly i've tried trading off of their ES.D continuous contracts and i get an error message saying "invalid futures symbol" which i also don't get. PLEASE HELP!... thank you much

1. You have to be subscribed to the same data type, live or delayed. So, maybe you have live ES data. That means you also must subscribe to live $TICK and $ADD data. You can;t miz live and delayed.

2. To trade continuous right now, it will be @ESH15.D - in mid March it will be @ESM15.D

Hey Kevin thanks for your help, i went over and switched to @ESH15.D but i am still getting nowhere with the $TICK and $ADD overlay. I tried to insert them both on the simulated and live trading account. I would call TradeStation and ask them all these questions, but unfortunately they can't help since the account is not under my name. I've recently gotten an account with a prop trading firm so everything i need, i have to contact them which i did and they were going to email me a guide of some sorts that i am still waiting on.

Is your data for ES live? If so, then your data for $TICK and $ADD also has to be live. You have to subscribe to the real time data packages. Help / Account Services / Add/Remove Data or Features

Thanks again, but i'll have to give the guys at the prop firm a call and have them go through it for me. I'll update the post to let you know how it went.

@kevinkdog to follow up on our previous discussion, you were absolutely correct. Everything is now on the same data speed and running perfectly.
