Accessing one strategy's variable within another

Hello, all! This is my 1st post.

I have a noob question in .

I am trying to set up a master strategy that will cut off all trading during a news release.

so in the master strategy, I have:

masterStrategy.cs

public bool tradingOff = false;

how can I access that variable from my trading strategies.. for example

EMAstrategy.cs

if (fast EMA crosses above slow EMA  && masterStrategy.tradingOff == false ) 
{
  enter long
}

I'm looking to have different types of strategies on different charts access this master strategy for clearance to enter trades or even on the same chart if need be.

There are few possibilities:

1. Probably the easiest way is to write a file from the master strategy and check the contents of that file from the other sub strategies.

2. Alternatively you can use a static class
