I used to used ToS "On Demand" simulator. Once I closed out the trading platform, it would be right where I left it once I opened it back up again. Basically it was in permanent pause mode until I got back to it. But with Ninja Trader Market Replay, I have not yet figured out if I can save or pause the replay. If I shut off the replay during midway, and then come back to it later, I have to start all over with trend lines. Is there a way to save it so that when I close down NT and come back I don't have to start the process all over again? Thanks.
This drove me nuts at first but then found a very simply solution:
Just close and save your workspace BEFORE you make any changes to the Market Replay timing. So, if you want to go back to start of session, just (1) close/save your workspace, (2) reset start time/date on Market Replay controller, and (3) reopen your workspace.
Always start with a blank (or no) workspace before starting Market Replay.
I will experiment with saving workspaces. I saved my work space previously, and did not see how it affected my replay chart. But I haven't yet watched a tutorial or played around with this function.
