Yes, my method is mainly uses the 3 main Fib levels (38.2%, 50%, & 61.8%).
I also use https://www.tradingknowledge.infon now for all FTSE related data. Guy's name is Dominic Nardone.
Best thing is he shows you his account and charts when trading live so you can really see what he is doing.
Do you ever use any services, products or any funky indicators for trading that you recommend?
thanks Hood for the heads up.
Good luck with your back testing!
I'm almost 2 months into mine but using a live account.
Guess I'm cheating though because I'm following a FTSE trader subscription free so not had any drawdowns yet!!!
Will let you know if I screw up though but so far so good
Just started trading the FTSE mainly out of desperation as Forex is so dead these days and DAX my main interest currently has the odd slow day so it's a fall back, I like the 1 pip spread aswell.
Sadly bank holiday stops play, I thought DAX wasn't trading so took the day off and missed some good moves Most likely FXCM UK is closed, ahhh just checked miss read it, normal
I just noticed your post. UK100 (FTSE) was closed for trading today, but GER30 (DAX) was open. Below were the Memorial Day trading hours for CFDs today. All times listed are in GMT. Forex trading hours remained unchanged, opening on Sunday between 21:00 and 21:15 GMT and closing on Friday at 20:55 GMT.
Would just be careful trading the low volume price can tend to be pushed around on weak liquidity. Wondering on a high level how are you looking to trade the low volume period?
I am thinking of moving from FX Futures to FTSE100 futures during London hours. I cheked out at IB and the exchange is ICEEU and the costs runs up to 95 USD/M. (Specifically this cost is from Sierra Chart). Am I right about this before I activate the exchange data?
I am allso looking for a FTSE 100 futures feed and using Sierra chart... did you find a futures feed you can recommend? They all seems a bit pricey to me
I am about to start trading the FTSE 100 since IQ feed provides market internals for LSE and the underlying stocks in FTSE 100
