yes, that i already know that there is footprint indicator in download section, i need to know if it is adaptded to forex before i go elite to purchase this
There are various methods to calculate a footprint, but at the basis you need volume
you will then spread that volume on one or more price levels of the candle in which
the volume happened
There are footprint that will :
- attribute the volume to the exact price level (aka tick based
- use an average of the bar
- etc...
For example in dvalue (just one of the many indicator), you can choose the algo used to allocate the volume
the smaller the time frame of the candle, the more accurate the footprint will be
Having played myself with many of the footprints, i ended up writing my own based on bid and ask and the trade
Ok so if i download the footprint indicator that you can find in download section, i will have to manually adjust the algorithm? I don't have any experience in Writing codes :s
You might just have to 'take the trade'. Risk 100 to try and make/save 2000.
Rleplae's answers are good. This forum is mostly futures so there aren't going to be that many people, as a proportion, with forex data or using that indicator.
The membership here is good value anyway with a lot of webinars and trading journals/threads and discounts available to Elite members only. For most people the indicator are only a very small benefit. I downloaded a selection when I first joined but I don't look at any of them now.
You do not win as a trader, you just get to play again the next day. If that game doesn’t appeal to you then you should not trade. Gary Norden
If someone could take screenshot of the indicator that is used on forex would also save me 100 dolar, is just there is not much information about the indicator.
There are two forex feeds offered by Kinetick or DTN IQFeed: the FXCM-feed ($ 25) and an 'institutional level' feed ($ 50) with FXCM and TenFore data. As far as I remember, TenFore has multiple contributors (>30?), so you would get a broader data base of the market which should be vital for using such a tool as laurentg intends to do.
