I think there are 3 stages :
- QE adding
- QE stable
- QE unwinding
At this point in time, i would say for sure we are not in 1
and when we are in 2 and doing nothing, we are automatically
falling in 3, because fixed income assets come to maturity
The questions is not if the FED is officially announcing the
unwinding, but more, how aggressively (active or passive)
they are doing it..
Those very smart people don't seem to be on one line
and for sure are not able to predict, with accuracy what is
going to happen
To be a student of the big world finance laboratory and allowed
to do experiments that can blow up the world economy, is for
sure an exciting job... i would like to be part of that.. LOL
