Because you are new here, his suggestion was simply to point you to the tremendous resource you have here.
Most people have particular things they look for in a broker.
The best way to find that is to read reviews of what others think and match those with your needs.
So searching the forum for the different platforms is a good suggestion.
I've used many platforms.
Real Tick, Ensign Software, TD, Etrade, and many more.
(I've tried most of them out there)
I currently use NT and I have a lifetime license.
It is best for me an the way I trade.
It also meets my need to be able to create custom charts, indicators, strategies, and program with a robust language.
Those things may not be important to you but they were to me so that is why I use it.
No one can tell you what is best for you.
Reading reviews, and taking trials on different platforms is the best way so you can decide what is best for your needs.
