i am gradually making the transition to 8. however there are fewer 3rd party indicators available in 8 like there are available for 7 (understandably).

i would like to see if there is a ninja 8 version of the indicator called "BREAKOUT
RECOGNITION"

Not sure you need the indicator converted. I didn't follow the link, so I may be off base here. But from memory you are basically looking at Bollinger Band (14,2) breakout.

You go long with 2 bar closes above the upper Bollinger Band providing the bar prior to the break out closed inside the Bollinger Band. Opposite for a short.

Not sure you need the indicator converted. I didn't follow the link, so I may be off base here. But from memory you are basically looking at Bollinger Band (14,2) breakout. You go long with 2 bar closes above the upper Bollinger Band providing the bar prior to the break out closed inside the Bollinger Band. Opposite for a short.

actually yes & no .... i do use bollinger ..yes ... but ... only for quick COUNTER trend scalping trades -- once price breaks outside of bands ... i look to take a quick 2 - 4 "tick" scalp using 2 contracts. (targeting the bollinger midline)

but no ...

the breakout recognition indicator ... works with channel breakouts ... when i get into a Trend trade ... its always comforting to here that alert go off while in a TREND trade .. gives me that "warm & fuzzy feeling" that the pattern will not fail before hitting my small / obtainable targets ...

ive also attached the zip file i would like to have upgraded
