Other cryptocurrencies fell even more sharply, with both ether and Ripple's XRP losing about 12%.

There does not appear to be a clear catalyst for the sell-off.

Don't tell this to the "hodlers". For them, any move down is "fud" moved by "whales" who want to steal their Unicorn ICO.

Crypto traders have their own lingo. FUD is fear, uncertainty and doubt.

Another expression they use is "To the Moon!"
