I have used Treepad, Gmail, OneNote, Excel, and many other sorts of mixed solutions over years for tracking my market notes, studies, and projects. For my purposes, I am trying to record market studies, market notes, etc. My issue has been that tools like OneNote have visual appeal and power but end up feeling rather slow and cumbersome. My other go-to Treepad has worked well for notes but starting to feel a bit dated.

I have been seeking a project management and knowledge management combined solution. The best solution I have came across so far for much of my needs is notion.so (no affiliation).

With this app, I can drag/drop in content, use rich editing, add to-do list, kanban boards, tables, embed web content, etc. all in a very fast and rich structure. It is still early but looks very promising for the purposes of tracking market studies, notes on webinars, etc. There is another in similar app partially open to public that looks promising, coda.io.

That looks very powerful.

After many years and many apps I have standardized on the Day One journaling app. (Mac)

All my notes and clips are collected into the one app. For some reason it has helped make journaling sticky for me.

Coggle is an online mind map that you can use in Chrome. It comes in three flavors. These are "free", "awesome" and "organization". It has quite a lot of functionality and allows you to mind map in different colors.

OneOne is essentially a poor imitation of Trello. Trello is free (no affiliation). Its a virtual Kanban board in the cloud with collaboration built-in, like OneNote, and is meant more for managing projects without the bloat of MS Project. You could use it the same way you are using OneNote or Notion.so
