Hi guys. Do you know what is this service about - https://www.tradethenews.com/ Do they provide news in realtime or something like this? I tried to sign up for guest access but they have a stupid requirement to have a linked-in profile. It is just funny.
I also, used the service in the past. While I don't use it anymore, I think it may be worth the effort of jumping through the Linkedln hoop to receive the free trial.
I recently resubscribed to the text-only 'FX' service there. I don't know about the 'new hoops' they make you jump through to subscribe but I do recommend the FX text-only service at $50 a month. Near real-time FX (and equity) related news, 24 hours per day. A recent example of value is a news blurb they put out last night re: China saying that the available quantity of 'rare earth' minerals was very low, a small story about that and then, a list of related equities, one of which I already knew about - MCP. As it turned out, this didn't make it to the mainstream news until after the market opened .... MCP up 7% today. Anyway, it's a valuable service, especially if you're trading currencies but obviously it is of benefit for some equities trading (mainly commodities based).
Also, if you're trading the NQ or ES (or QQQQ/SPY) or CL, a lot is tied in to overseas activity so even though this is 'FX' news, it's relevant to a lot on the equity side. Don't know about their 'equity service' but my guess is that the FX one has more value overall.
If you're after a news feed, then the one i recommend is ransquawk..... it has some nice features which you don't get with the others. They're based on copthall ave in London, in the same building as the firm I was at. Decent guys and most prop traders in London use them.
If you're a news oriented trader, trade the news is very good. But the process to trial is ridiculous.
RANsquawk looks very similar. (Does anyone know its pricing?)
And they offer an easy to setup trial - free 2 min delayed service to all their feeds.
I'm not using these guys but would be interested in hearing opinions. Can't find their pricing, even with a GOOG search but I guess you can just do the trial and negotiate the price when they call you (which I don't like). Tradethenews has an audio service in addition to text but they just report news items .... no analysis (which could be a good thing, not having it that is).
You're looking at about £250 a month for ransquawk if you go after the gold package which is everything. Not sure on pricing for individual feeds. As mentioned in my post, I highly recommend ransquawk, you also get access to a lot of fundamental research too
