I have a script to open up Shark Indicators Bloodhound through Ninja's Strategy Analyzer and extract and change values within it. I can also export tests results to excel and read the values.

I would like to make this script capable of optimizing the indicator values but I don't know where to start and neither does my programmer. He can mimic the various GUI's for the genetic optimizer but doesn't know or understand the math that needs to be implemented to process the results.

Are there any open source genetic optimizing algorithm's that would be easy to implement into my script and GUI? Or would I have to hire a computer science/math guy to make something from scratch?

But it doesn't work with NT7 as-is, so be extremely careful.

I had actually looked through that thread. Just missed the download link in that first post.

Just curious if anything ever came from this? I need to find a way to change values inside Bloodhound! Amazing program but not being able to vary indicator values inside a strategy backtest is a big handicap.

This is a BIG handicap of this otherwise amazing tool.

IF you could optimize on indicator values THEN you really could have a complete testing platform.

Maybe there could be a way to export the logic from bloodhound /raven to a regular NT 8 strategy?

How hard do you think this would be to code?
