For some reason multicharts begins plotting each new week from around the London open session on mondays and completely skips the monday Asian session. What could cause this?

does your data provider provide the data? If the data is available I would take a look at the settings for the symbol in Multicharts' Quotemanager to see if the session template might simply be set to start too late. You would try if using the 24/7 template on the chart makes a difference.
