I wish I could get their service in Round Rock. Right now I am stuck with 6Mb ATT DSL. Funny, all my neighbours have at least U-verse, and they are a few feet away from me, but since this address is not in their database... oh well.

you can always pay to have them drag a new line for you

When I lived in Japan I had a fiber optic line to my house. It was around $65 a month, fluctuating up and down with the exchange rate of course.

60GB down and 20GB up. Downloading a movie took a few seconds. Man I miss that.

LOL

Provo doesn’t know where its fiber is, Google makes city spend $500,000 to find it | Ars Technica

Interesting it would cost that much. I would think you could just start trenching until the internet goes down and walla, there it is

Yes, the construction workers in my area are masterful at finding internet cables... even without trying!

I am in your area for work right now and the construction workers found the fiber running to one of our test stands, in the middle of the test <--- that was about how it went.

I can't wait for them to get a little more wide spread with this. Not that what I have is bad, it is 30mbps for $30 so I am pretty happy with that! I just think it is great the speeds they are pushing and to be able to get your TV and everything through them.
