Every once in a while, I open the DOM window and through accidental moves, I can lock it into the main window on the left or right side. Does anyone know what you need to do it ON PURPOSE?

I can't seem to do it now and I really want it off to the side of the window. Thanks

I believe that View menu -> Show DOM Window is what you are thinking of.
