In tradestation, I want to set Profit Target at 5%. So I input the following codes,

if Condition1 and Condition2 and Condition3 then
Begin
Buy ( "A" ) next bar at market ;
Setstopshare;
setProfitTarget(Close*0.05);
End

The Close price at which the share is bought is 242.79, so 5% profit is 254.92. I have printed Close*0.05 and confirm it can calculate correctly. But I've found that tradestation can't sell at 254.92 at the first 4th times. It sell at the 5th time where the price is down to 254.92. The following attaches the captured screen. It circles the first 4th chances Tradestation can't sell the share. Why? Am I misunderstand the usage of SetProfitTarget in tradestation? If so, what should I do to set Profit Target at 5%?

Thanks,
Raymond

Raymond,

when you place built-in exits within conditional statements, they would only be issued while the conditions are true and not placed on all other bars. You could place them unconditionally and set the target amount within your conditional branch.
