Yes, there is a big trade show in middle of November "Online Traders Expo" in Vegas...... I think they will show it off there if I had to take a guess.
I tried posting this on the MC forum but no response yet. Maybe someone here can confirm the same issue.
I'm trying to setup a continuous contract for corn and using volume as the rollover trigger.
Mar May Jul Sep Dec are the active months, so I've selected these and set event as 1 day of higher volume.
As noted on the chart, the Sept contract appears to plot until expiration.
Snoop, I can't help with Corn, but here are my CL settings. You might try these, and if CL works as it should it might be the contract months you've specified in corn (which seem odd to me, but I don't trade agriculture so I have no idea).
All else fails, try MultiCharts live support from their support website or email them. I've found their forum is more for users, less about actual support issues.
In this particular case, there is a workaround. Volume in the Sept contract appears to be lower than Jul and Dec, so by unchecking the Sep contract, the custom future displays correctly.
Mike, in your CL screenshot, you have "2nd nearest contract" which doesn't appear to be correct.
The way I have it set right now, I am on the December contract. I just re-verified it, my custom futures contract is using the QCLZ10 data from IQfeed (december).
I'll have to think about this more later, but it seems to be working fine for me.
Thank you for announcing that Snoop. Just to verify, this is a closed beta test for very experienced users only. This is a "raw" version (i.e. it's not ready yet for public consumption). We will release a public beta after considering your feedback. In order to participate, you need to email your name to Dave Masalov at dmasalov@MultiCharts.com.
