A few similarities that come to mind are below, but would love to hear further input
  1. it's a game with a binary outcome - you win or you lose
  2. process driven not outcome driven
  3. study opponents, looking for their weaknesses
  4. maintain performance when under pressure
  5. have to continue training to improve
  6. requires a good chunk of deliberate practice (screen-time) before reaching proficiency
