You could go to the Search box in the upper right corner of every screen, and type "metal"... I got 22 hits just now (one of them was this thread, though ). This method will just search for threads containing "metal" in their titles.
Or you could click on the Search button and customize a search in different ways, which pick up keywords within the text of posts.
This should start you, anyway. Once you are in some threads you like, you can find out more to look for, or just ask there.
