I'm reading through the MC manual and am about to partake on coding my first ATS. In the automated trading section in the manual mentions 2 communication order executions. Asynchronous and Synchronous. Now which one do I use? What do you guys use and why? Thanks!

Seriously, there's a manual?? Are you talking about a PDF or are you talking about on-line help?
Either way, I believe you are referring to how the strategy syncs with your broker. One way will let MultiCharts dictate if it is long, short or flat, the other way will let the broker dictate it.
That's the one! The online PDF. I am referring to how the strat syncs with the broker. AA and SA both sound so good, I don't know which one to pick. What are the pros and cons from you guys in respect to your experiences using MC? Kindly guide a newbie. Thanks!!
