i used thinkorswim when i started futures a while back but there cost are $5 round trip + fee . I am at a no thrills broker at $1.50 round trip . But want to goback to TOS to trade options and futures . Does thinkorswim reduce fees after a while if you ask if you do a certain volume . Dont mind paying up to $3.50 round trip .

They will reduce fees if you are doing enough volume. Of course you have to call and ask about it. I was able to get a good reduction, but I was trading heavily at the time (scalping) that I asked. I don't know their rules or anything. It's probably a case by case assessment. I get slightly better rates at AMP now, but the low day trade margins were the real reason for me to switch. Scary low day trade margins.. I miss the TDA customer service though. They are fantastic for that.
