For those that care about the environment and would like to have real discussions. Not scare tactics of Doom and Gloom!

Hey @aquarian1 ,we all know you hate big oil. We also know us humans are accident prone, even when it comes to pipelines. So I have a question for ya! Do you want us to shut big oil down? Maybe I can hitch a ride with Fred and Barney!

Seriously, This is why engineers have plans in place for such unfortunate accidents. Lets talk about ways to prevent and ways to handle these accidents once they happen? Not No No No Damn't. Shut big oil down! LOL.

unban me from your thread, take the muzzle off if you will. We will discuss.

"There's a long way to go
It's a laudable goal to switch from carbon-based fuels to clean energy, but not one that can be achieved overnight. Fuels like oil and natural gas are too integral to our day-to-day lives to simply remove them. In fact, as BP's Bernard Looney, chief executive of the energy giant's upstream division, recently highlighted, "[I]n almost every scenario -- oil and gas together are forecast to represent greater than 40% of the energy mix in 2040." That's another two decades in which these two sources of energy remain vital contributors to world energy markets."

Hey @aquarian1, Do you believe we should shut down all fracking, or do you support getting better at it. There is little evidence to show that this incident is typical.

Unban me from your thread. Take the muzzle off if you will. We will discuss.

Even newscientist.com had a paragraph of fair reporting.

"It’s difficult to say. Fracking has been going on in the US for decades, and has become much more common in recent years, yet evidence that it causes earthquakes has so far been elusive. “This is one of the first times felt earthquakes have been associated with fracking,” Baptie says."
