Free Teamviewer alternative?

I have been using Teamviewer (free version) for years. A few weeks ago it gave me a warning and said commercial activity suspected. I filled out a form telling them it's for personal trading only, a week later they notified me they had reset my ID so that I can use it for free. But the warning messages are still there every time I connect and once it disconnected me after only a few minutes' usage. Thank God I did not enter a trade!

I sent them an email to ask them to make sure my ID's truly reset but they are slow to respond (yes I understand it's free and they have higher priorities). Still it's frustrating. I wonder if anyone can recommend some alternatives which:

1) is free for personal use outside local network (so Splashtop is ruled out)
2) supports multiple monitors
3) connects fast and refreshes fast
4) does not use a lot of mobile data (I use a Verizon mobile hotspot for my laptop to connect to my home computer)

Splashtop Personal with the Anywhere Access Pack is $16.99 per year, FYI.

It supports multiple monitors, seems fast enough to me, but I have never tracked data usage.

Have you tried Google Remote Desktop? It works well for me. I have had the same experience with Teamviewer.

It's $60 per year now. I do use it at home on local network sometimes. Switching between monitors is not as convenient as TeamViewer but everything else seems similar.

Thanks! I thought it's much more expensive and didn't check.

On my laptop if I open a browser it will use a lot of data in a very short period of time.

Perhaps you can easily sign up for a "brand new" free teamviewer account under a different email address. YMMV, but my sense is that it is perfectly valid to have multiple accounts, for the non-commercial version.

You sign up directly in the client. So maybe you'll have to uninstall and then reinstall the software so it starts fresh.

EDIT: Actually now I see the issue is with the "Teamviewer ID" which they assign to your device and supposedly withstands uninstalling and re-installing the software. Oh well! There seem to be some methods involving the registry and other complicated steps to generate a new ID. You can google for them if you are adventurous, just be aware that they may potentially violate their terms of service.

Might want to check out "Anydesk"

I remember using it last year quite a lot while setting up my broker trading software with broker instructions. Not sure if it has everything you have listed though, but I'm sure you can check it on their site.

With the same issues (already posted above) I had with TeamViewer, I tried out AnyDesk and it works great without any problems (since about 6 month). If I remember correct, the founder and some of his technicians came from TV, so the should know what works
