Hi,
I know this is quite subjective question, but how do you pick the stock you pull the trigger on?

I mean, I can research financials, read news, forums and comments on any stock I want, for days. But in the end, I have no rules or checkboxes that would definitely make my decision. So my question is how do you go about making up a list of conditions the stock has to pass in order for you to take up a position?

Right now, I like things like TRQ, TGB or NOK but anyone else would probably stay away. Hence the conundrum. At this time, I have no real investing experience, only a common sense

PS: I'm talking long-term invesment

You should not trade based on what other people think. There's an infinite amount of ways to make and lose money in the market. I might be in the minority here but this has always been an individual journey for me. I believe in myself and abilities more than anyone else's. If I'm wrong that's okay. I learn and continue to get better and that's exactly what's happened.

I'll tell you what I do but it probably won't be that useful.

I code strategies and run them through up to 20 markets. I optimize and trade the top 2 or 3 with the highest expectancy.
