I'm going to start collecting sound files here since it isn't possible to attach multiple files in the Download section. Please contribute any you have as replies to this post.

Here are links to the ATT voice sound generator. The text in the posts is useful in itself.

Remember to turn off your speakers if you have them on your system during the overnight...

I had a doorbell, I think it was TS Supertrend, and at 3AM the damn thing signaled, wakes the wife up and I'm standing at the front door looking to see who it is... It was the Asian close

Don't forget that you can get Ninjatrader to talk to you, and that it can say any concatenated combination of fixed text and variable values that you can assemble programmatically.

See the "Let's teach Ninjatrader to talk" thread for further information.

On that thread you are invited to nominate indicators that deserve this capability, and to post your ideas about how this can be used.

Talking indicators are not difficult to program. Samples are posted in that thread. Try doing some of your own!

Thanks to Roonius for showing how to do this.

Just a note. NinjaTrader 7 cannot read all sound files. So you may hear nothing.

The format wav/MPEG is not supported, so you would have to convert them to wav/PCM.

The XP AudioRecorder can do that. AudioRecorders of later versions of Windows can not convert the files, so you need to use available freeware.

I have just gotten back to my trading computers after some time away (health challenges), and am in the process of fully transitioning to Ninja 7. I have a couple of indicators that are requiring more work than expected to get them to compile on N7, and now realize that my alerts in sound directory are not working. I am running the 64 bit version of Windows 7, and the 32 bit version of Ninja 7. I found info on the Ninja forum that says that these files need to be converted .wav to .pcm (I should have just come here first), and then found the information on this thread. Can someone confirm for me the format that these files need to be converted to, and if possible a link to a freeware converter. I have spent a fair amount of time online looking at converters, but want to make sure that I convert the files to the proper format, and most efficiently. I use a number of alerts, and do not want to re-record all of them.

Many thanks, and appreciate all that this forum provides.
