Most CME products (except some agriculture products like grains) you can trade from Sunday to Friday from 5pm CT to 4 pm CT, this = Electronic Trading hours (for you as NT user = ETH)

Open Out Cry = Pit-session = Electronic Day Session = RTH (for NT): a while ago, all the products had their own PIT, but most of this pits are closed in the meantime, but the time (session) is still the most active time, where the most volume occurs and the big boys (large institutions) are most active. Some examples for the for this session: equity, currency (ES, NQ, YM, RTY, 6E, 6B...) 2:30 am CT - 3:15 pm CT, Crude 2:00 am CT - 1:30 pm CT Gold 1:20 am CT - 12:30 pm CT or Bonds/Notes 1:20 am CT - 2:00 pm CT.

I hope that helps.

tr8er ,

Thank you so much for your reply ....... Very in depth , helped me finally understand the differences between the sessions / the times that each Market is most active

You mentioned the Grains ........ When please , are the Grains ( Corn , Soybeans, Wheat , Oats , etc. ) most active / Their trading hours ?

And when would Markets such as , Soybean Oil , Soybean Meal , Sugar , Orange Juice, Cotton , Coffee and the Meats ( Lean Hogs, etc. ) Be most actively Traded / these Markets trading hours ?

Thank you so much for all of your time and your help , I really appreciate it

I am try to put together some historical data on ES.

Does anyone know if ES was trading almost 24 / 7 before 2012? Or ES trading hours never changed all these years?

Thank you.
