CME is open on Thanksgiving during the night session and the first 2 hours of the regular session. For index futures it pauses from 11:30 EST until 6:00 PM EST. All trades executed on Thanksgiving are for trade date November 26, which means
- that Thanksgiving is not a separate session
- that trades executed on Nov 25 and Nov 26 will have the same settlement date
- Friday's pivots are calculated from Wednesday's high, low and settlement
- Monday's pivots are calculated from high, low and settlement fo the two-day session Nov 25 + Nov 26
It should, would appreciate if you can verify that it works as expected! All indicators that use sessions and have fields to enter the holiday dates should theoretically cope with it, but I would be not be astonished, if somebody is able to to find a little bug. There are only few occasions per year to test this.
